Gleb received a classical academic education, but soon moved away from traditional painting in search of new artistic forms. His signature technique arose at the intersection of painting and plastic art: fragile three-dimensional paper elements fixed to canvas create the effect of going beyond the canvas. The works balance between the obvious and the mysterious, exploring the boundaries of form and material.
